Electrical Systems Integration Engineer Launch
Core Responsibilities
• Responsible for design and development of Client Performance specific electrical content
• Coordinate technical design reviews between component and EDS engineers to ensure system integrity in the design phase
• Responsible for surveying Engineers for components that have electrical interfaces and ensure those device transmittals are populated into VSEM to support EDS wiring development
• Build DV Requirements for system level electrical functions and perform validation testing to ensure product compliance
• Support BOM sign offs for pre-production build events
• Represent the electrical team on evaluation drives
• Root cause and fix electrical issues on vehicles as they arise
• Support offsite vehicle level DV testing
• Support breadboard activities by configuring, updating, and root causing electrical modules and systems
• Onsight support for vehicle builds at the assembly plant, representing the Electrical team • Lead FSS (Full Service Suppliers) and/or other internal/external resources to deliver subject programs
• Lead development of system designs that support vehicle performance targets
• Assure conformance to the Client Racing DNA all applicable Client & regulatory requirements
• Develop innovative solutions for performance vehicles
• Support supplier sourcing processes and FMA activities
• Handle deliverables to support program & engineering GPDS breakthroughs
• FEDE BOM / WERS / Bill of Material / AIMS / JIRA / 5/8Ds / FEDE DVP / QUIP / Engineering Sign Off / QUIP / eCATs / IVS
Skills Required:
Electrical Engineering – Proficient understanding and skilled with module electronics (Hardware and Software), vehicle architecture, module, power supply, driver assist systems and wiring integration in vehicle.
Skills :
1. Circuit Design – Familiar and experienced in reading: Schematics / Device Transmittals 2. Electrical Wiring – Experience with using Voltmeter, ringing our circuitry in vehicle or on bread board
3. Software Testing – Versed in module flashes / Vector Canalyzer tool and Client DET or equivalent of diagnostic trouble shooting
Experience Required:
• BS Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent); Master degree
• 5+ years experience in automotive electrical systems
• Understanding of GPDS deliverables and basic Client engineering tools (FEDE BOM / WERS / Bill of Material / AIMS / JIRA / 5/8Ds / FEDE DVP / Engineering Sign Off / DFMEA / Six Sigma)
• Experience launching new vehicles
• Ability to handle complex tasks and complicated situations under compressed timing
• Outstanding planning, organizational and project management skills with accurate follow-up to accomplish multiple objectives
• Strong Leadership Behaviors with proven ability to drive and deliver results
• Effective written and oral presentation skills
• Ability to build strong effective relationships with multi-functional teams (Program, Studio, Purchasing, Core Body Engineering, VE, VI, VO)
• Passion for performance vehicles is desirable
• Experience with CAN tools, Module Software flashing, CAN network troubleshooting, Bus Queries, CAN log and data collection, Diagnostic Engineering Tool, MyCanic, Data Logger, Vehicle configuration (VSCS)
