An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Systems Engineer to develop the electrical architecture behind our future motorcycles. If you enjoy hands‑on engineering and contributing to innovative, rider‑focused products, this role offers the chance to make a real impact.
Working within state‑of‑the‑art facilities and alongside a passionate, growing team, you will help define and deliver electrical systems that elevate every rider experience, combining engineering excellence with the unmistakable character of an iconic British motorcycle manufacturer.
The Electrical Systems Engineer will:
Lead the design and development of vehicle electrical systems, including power distribution, control units, sensors and communication networks (CAN/LIN).
Own the architecture for keyless systems, including RF communication, immobilisers and secure authentication technologies.
Integrate electrical and keyless systems with ECUs, communication networks and electronic modules across the vehicle platform.
Develop, maintain and validate system requirements, interface specifications and safety‑related documentation.
Conduct V&V activities, including RF range testing, cybersecurity assessments and environmental durability testing.
Ensure compliance with global regulatory standards, functional safety frameworks (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity requirements.
The Electrical Systems Engineer will have:
A degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronics Engineering (or related discipline).
Proven experience in automotive or motorcycle electrical systems design, integration and validation.
Strong knowledge of CAN/LIN communication, ECUs, diagnostics and power distribution.
Hands‑on experience with RF systems, immobilisers and keyless authentication technologies.
Understanding of functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity principles.
A structured, logical approach to problem‑solving with excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross‑functional and supplier teams.
