Electrical Supervisor

Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Department: Production / Electrical
Reports To: Operations Manager

Position Summary

The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing electrical production teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality work. This role requires strong leadership, clear communication, accountability, and a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork. The Electrical Supervisor works closely with Team Leads, other Production Supervisors, and Operations leadership to maintain smooth workflow and meet production goals.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Conduct

• Serve as a strong, positive role model for team members and fellow employees.
• Treat and speak to team members with respect, professionalism, and integrity.
• Foster a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented work environment.
• Support and develop Team Leads through recognition, constructive feedback, and coaching.
• Lead daily Toolbox Talks and Morning Huddles.
• Participate in safety and housekeeping audits as required.

Compliance & Coordination

• Ensure all company policies, procedures, and rules are followed consistently.
• Coordinate closely with other Production Supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely task and equipment flow across departments.

Task Oversight & Accountability

• Monitor employee attendance, breaks, and lunches with support from Team Leads.
• Address attendance concerns with the Operations Manager as needed.
• Provide clear daily work instructions to each department and confirm understanding with Team Leads.
• Communicate production issues promptly to the Operations Manager, including parts shortages, quality concerns, tooling needs, or delays.
• Ensure End-of-Shift reports are completed accurately with clear notes on delays or unfinished work.
• Conduct regular check-ins with Team Leads throughout the shift to ensure work is progressing on schedule.
• Verify that all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.
• Ensure team members remain engaged, productive, and focused throughout the shift.

Communication Responsibilities

• Share all management messages, notices, and updates with the team in a timely and clear manner.
• Follow up to confirm understanding and proper implementation of communicated information.

Quality & Safety Standards

• Immediately report safety incidents and near misses to the Operations Manager.
• Promote and enforce safe work practices, identifying hazards and correcting risks promptly.
• Ensure required safety training is completed on time by all team members.
• Ensure all electrical work meets company quality standards and expectations.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, tools, and equipment.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or lead experience in an electrical or industrial production environment .
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to hold teams accountable while maintaining a positive work culture.
• Strong understanding of safety practices and quality standards.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and respond quickly to production challenges.
