Electrical Site Manager – £60,000–£70,000 + package



Hemel Hempstead | Data centre project | Immediate interviews (this week & next)



We’re hiring a delivery-focused Electrical Site Manager to run critical power installation and fit-out on a live data centre project in Hemel Hempstead. Pace, coordination and clean handovers are the brief.



What you’ll run day-to-day (Electrical SM)



*



Programme and sequencing: two–four week look-aheads, workfront releases, access/permits planning, and energisation windows.



*



Supervising trades: direct labour and subcontractors; set production targets; track labour, materials and off-site manufacture to keep milestones.



*



Health and safety leadership: RAMS reviews, permits (hot works/WAH/LOTO), daily briefings/TBTs, housekeeping in congested risers/voids; CDM compliance.



*



Quality control: ITPs, hold/witness points, snag prevention, red-lines/as-builts; verify protection settings, labelling, schedules and asset registers match install.



*



Technical administration: submittals/samples, long-lead and materials call-offs, site diaries, delivery tickets, and O&M data capture.



*



Commissioning readiness: pre-commissioning checks, dead/live testing coordination, BMS I/O/alarms support, witness testing to PC, handover packs and seasonal Cx.



*



Client and stakeholder coordination: chair/record coordination meetings, manage interfaces with other trades, raise and close actions quickly.



*



Reporting: daily/weekly site reports, progress trackers, change notes and early warnings tied to site conditions.



What you know cold



*



Mission-critical electrical infrastructure: UPS, LV switchgear, busbar, distribution, monitoring and controls.



*



Live-environment delivery constraints: uptime mindset, permit discipline, staged access and zero-defect handover culture.



*



UK compliance and best practice for safety, quality and environmental management.



*



Field tools and trackers: look-aheads, QA packs, commissioning trackers, and common planning/office platforms.



What you’ll need



*



Electrical site management experience on data centres/critical facilities with a main or specialist M&E contractor.



*



Level 3 Electrotechnical qualification, 18th Edition, AM2S, ECS card; Testing & Inspection (2391) desirable.



*



Clean, steady leadership style; decisive issue-unblocking and strong coordination in tight programmes.



*



Full UK driving licence, right to work in the UK; flexibility for occasional evenings/weekends when required.



Hours, pay and benefits



*



Core hours: 07:00–16:00 (flex to project needs). Overtime payable when agreed.



*



Salary: £60,000–£70,000 + comprehensive package (private healthcare and dental, life insurance, pension, service awards, retail trade discounts).

Employee Ownership Trust eligibility after 12 months.
