Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Position: Industrial Electrical Shop Technician III
Reports To: Shop Foreman

Position Summary

Seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Shop Technician III responsible for constructing, maintaining, testing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting industrial electrical equipment.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams.
• Experience using electrical testing equipment, hand/power tools, and basic computer/tablet systems.
• General mechanical knowledge and advanced mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to perform basic writing, math, and measuring tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work overtime and be on call as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Install switchgear, breakers, motor starters, panels, and other electrical components.
• Wire motor starters and perform electrical installations and repairs.
• Program and function-test ATS and VFD systems.
• Determine ampacity requirements for electrical equipment.
• Test electrical equipment and troubleshoot issues to make proper repairs.
• Test TTR, Megger, and DLRO equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams.
• Safely maintain and repair complex rental equipment with electrical systems.
• Operate a forklift as needed.
• Perform line/shop electrical work using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Recognize and report safety hazards.
• Complete work orders and maintain accurate electronic/paperwork records.
• Work closely with the Shop Foreman and train Technician I employees as needed.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
