£53,000 + Shift Allowance + Excellent Benefits3 on / 3 off | Rotating Days & Nights | 6am6pm / 6pm6amA well-established packaging manufacturing site is looking to strengthen its engineering team with the addition of a Multi-Skilled Engineering Technician at its highly automated production facilityThis is an excellent opportunity to join a large-scale manufacturing operation where engineering reliability and fast response times are critical to maintaining production performance and customer service levels.The successful candidate will be a strong electrically biased engineer with experience working within fast-paced FMCG, packaging, manufacturing, or process environments.The Role Working as part of a busy engineering function, you will be responsible for maintaining, fault finding, repairing, and improving a range of automated production and packaging machinery across the site.Youll play a key role in reducing downtime, improving machine performance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the operation.Key Responsibilities Attending machinery breakdowns and carrying out effective fault findingCompleting planned preventative maintenance activitiesDiagnosing electrical and mechanical faults on automated equipmentSupporting continuous improvement and engineering projectsAssisting with machinery upgrades, installations, and commissioningWorking closely with production teams to maximise equipment reliabilityEnsuring all engineering activities are completed safely and efficientlyMaintaining maintenance records and engineering documentationWhat Were Looking For We are keen to speak with engineers who have strong electrical maintenance experience gained within a fast-moving manufacturing or FMCG environment.Ideal Background Time-served Multi-Skilled Engineer / Maintenance Engineer / Shift EngineerStrong electrical fault-finding skillsPrevious experience within FMCG, packaging, manufacturing, or process industriesApprentice trained, NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent engineering qualificationExperience working with automated production or packaging machineryAbility to fault find on PLC-controlled equipmentSiemens S7 PLC experience would be highly advantageousKnowledge of drives, sensors, relays, motors, pumps, valves, conveyors, and control systemsComfortable working within a fast-paced production environmentGood communication and problem-solving abilitiesBenefits Salary circa £53,0003 on / 3 off shift pattern offering excellent work-life balanceCompany pension schemeLife assuranceOngoing training and developmentLong-term career progression opportunitiesS table and growing manufacturing businessSupportive engineering team and modern production environmentTPBN1_UKTJ
