We are a dynamic and growing general contractor with a strong footprint in the Data Centre construction sector. Our projects are fast-paced, technically complex, and mission-critical. We specialise in delivering high-quality electrical installations, particularly small power, low voltage (LV), and lighting systems, across Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 data centers


Role Overview


As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of electrical works on data center projects, with a primary focus on small power, LV, and lighting. You’ll coordinate teams, manage subcontractors, and ensure compliance with all project specifications, budgets, and deadlines. This is a key leadership role within the project delivery team.


Key Responsibilities


  • Oversee all electrical aspects of DC projects (small power, LV, lighting).
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and procurement for electrical packages.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and direct labour on-site.
  • Ensure installations are delivered in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and applicable standards (e.g., BS7671, IEC, etc.).
  • Develop and manage project schedules, identifying critical paths and resource needs.
  • Conduct site inspections, quality audits, and HSE checks regularly.
  • Review and approve technical submittals, RAMS, and commissioning documentation.
  • Interface with MEP design and BIM teams to ensure accurate coordination and as-built records.
  • Support commissioning and handover phases with O&M documentation and snag resolution.
  • Monitor and report on progress, risk, and performance to senior management.


Required Skills & Experience


  • Proven experience managing electrical works on data center or critical infrastructure projects.
  • Strong technical background in LV systems, small power distribution, and lighting installations.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical project management in construction or contracting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Good working knowledge of electrical regulations and standards (e.g., BS7671, IET Wiring Regulations).
  • Familiar with commissioning and testing protocols for LV systems.
  • Strong understanding of HSE practices and CDM regulations.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and document control systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


Qualifications


  • Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or Building Services ().
  • SMSTS or SSSTS (required).
  • CSCS/ECS (Management Level or Supervisor Gold Card ).
  • First Aid at Work (desirable).
  • Chartered or working toward chartership with IET or similar (desirable).
