Senior Project Manager – Electrical Construction (Boston, MA)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts

Reports To: Director of Project Delivery – Electrical Division

Compensation: Competitive salary ($120,000–$160,000) + annual performance bonus

Type: Full-time


Position Summary

We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee large-scale, multi-million-dollar commercial construction projects throughout the Boston area. This role requires strategic leadership, strong technical expertise, and financial oversight to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You’ll lead diverse teams, manage client relationships, and help drive innovation in design-build electrical construction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex electrical construction projects from preconstruction through completion, meeting all financial, safety, and schedule goals.
  • Develop and execute project strategies, ensuring timely delivery and cost control.
  • Track progress and implement corrective actions to maintain productivity and quality.
  • Build strong, lasting client relationships through proactive communication and reliability.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify risks, forecast performance, and optimize project outcomes.
  • Oversee budgets, cost tracking, change orders, and revenue projections.
  • Direct internal coordination between design, purchasing, and field operations teams.
  • Mentor project engineers and assistant managers, fostering professional growth and accountability.
  • Integrate new technologies and prefabrication methods to improve efficiency.
  • Support long-term business growth through exceptional project execution and client satisfaction.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience managing large-scale electrical or MEP projects in commercial, institutional, or data center sectors.
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, design coordination, and installation methods.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and teams across multiple projects.
  • Experience in design-build or integrated project delivery environments .
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to anticipate challenges, develop solutions, and maintain composure under pressure.
