Position Overview:

This position is responsible for assisting Project Managers in preparing, organizing, executing, and controlling construction contracts to meet company objectives regarding safety, cost and quality. The Assistant Project Manager will assist one or more Project Managers depending on the size and complexity of the projects. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!!

Job Summary:

  • Assists with developing project plan and schedule that meet turnaround times, and maximize efficiency, productivity, revenue opportunities, and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish with the Project Manager all necessary tracking charts and logs, as well as assist with maintaining said documents from project start through completion.
  • Conducts and manages project kickoff process to ensure that all parties involved understand project scope and responsibilities.
  • Assists with managing all project resources, startup, installation, and any subcontractors to ensure that project performance goals are met, project costs are at or below budget, deadlines are met, and project information is effectively communicated to all concerned parties.
  • Reads and understands proposals, estimates, plans, and specifications for all projects
  • Pursues estimates and submits change order and delay claims whenever appropriate, in a timely fashion on all projects. Logs change orders that are accepted.
  • Develops mutually beneficial and respectful relationships with all subcontractors, site trades, and general contractors and maintains positive working relationships with all customers.
  • Plan and organize projects using established procedures for submittal processing and subsequent material procurement and management. Log information as it becomes available.
  • Assist with documenting, preparing, and reporting information for all job delays and accelerations for cost impacts, including reimbursements.
  • Assist with “in-house” project closeout.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The job will include the following duties ( but is not limited to)

* Gather job information and complete start - up .

*EXTREMELY ORGANIZED

*Navigate a computer with ease. Utilize Windows server to start/ save job information

* Communicate with customers time and availability as well as billing information

* Discuss and communicate any job site restrictions

* Drive company vehicle as necessary for various tasks ( mailing, bank, etc)

* Assist the owner with daily phone calls / administrative tasks

* Prepare submittals

* Maintain office supply list and re- orders

* Assemble Operation and Maintenance manuals

* Log man hours

* Prepare closeouts

*Performs other clerical duties as needed such as filing, photocopying, etc.

*Knowledge of Quickbooks is a plus but not required.

*Computer knowledge is a MUST Word, Excel, Gmail
