Job Description

Role: Electrical Project Engineer

Location: Slough

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Freelance - 6 months

Our client in London are looking for an Electrical Project Engineer to help deliver excellence working in the mission‑critical sector for a 6‑month assignment on a major data centre build in Slough. The position is fully site‑based and available for an immediate start.

The role will involve supporting the installation and commissioning of modular electrical pods, which have already been delivered to site and are now entering the final installation and integration phase.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with electrical installation and commissioning activities
• Collaborate with Quality team for Red Tag, Yellow Tag walkdowns and Data Centre asset tagging process
• Reviewing drawings and ensuring works align with project specifications
• Tracking daily progress, coordinating with site teams and subcontractors
• Carrying out site inspections and supporting QA/QC walkdowns
• Managing technical paperwork including RFIs, ITPs, and as‑built updates
• Supporting FATs, SATs and initial energisation phases

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar background
• 0–5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience (data centre or EPC exposure helpful)
• Familiarity with QA/QC walkdowns and ITP processes
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Experience with digital construction tools (Procore, ACC, Hammertech, etc.)
• Must have the right to work in the UK
