Electrical Project Engineer – Substations & Grid
Contract: 12 months (outside IR35)
Location: UK-wide projects / Remote-based
Start: January 2026

Mint Selection is supporting a number of UK-based IPPs and ICPs with the delivery of grid-connected energy infrastructure projects. We are currently looking to engage an Electrical Project Engineer with strong substation and grid connection experience to support multiple projects across the UK.
Responsibilities
*
Support the delivery of HV substations and grid connection works (typically 11kV–400kV)
*
Act as the technical interface between the client, ICP, DNO/ESO and OEMs
*
Review electrical designs, protection studies and technical documentation
*
Support programme, cost and risk management across multiple projects
*
Provide engineering input through construction, commissioning and energisation
Experience Required
*
Proven experience as an Electrical Project Engineer within UK energy infrastructure
*
Strong background in substations and grid connections
*
Experience working with IPPs, ICPs, DNOs or Grid
*
Familiar with CDM regulations and UK grid compliance
*
Able to work remotely with occasional site or stakeholder meetings
