Electrical Project Engineer in London
Job Description
Electrical Project Engineer
Location: London
Salary: £70,000 – £75,000 + package
I’m working with a well-established and growing Tier 1 M&E contractor delivering high-value projects across London. Due to continued growth, they’re looking to bring in an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to support project delivery across a range of sectors including commercial and high-end residential.
This is a role where you’ll have real involvement in the full project lifecycle—not just stuck behind paperwork.
The Role:
• Manage electrical packages from pre-construction through to handover
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
• Work closely with Project Managers to ensure delivery is on programme and within budget
• Review drawings, technical submissions and specifications
• Attend site meetings and liaise directly with clients and consultants
• Support commissioning, snagging and final handover stages
What they’re looking for:
• Experience working as an Electrical Project Engineer within M&E / building services
• Strong technical understanding of electrical installations on construction projects
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and keep projects moving
• Comfortable working both on-site and with office-based teams
• Someone proactive who can take ownership rather than wait to be told
The opportunity:
• Join a contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work
• Exposure to a variety of projects across London
• Clear progression into Project Manager level
• Stable, long-term role with a growing business
Requirements:
• Relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ / HNC / HND/ ONC or equivalent)
• Must have the right to work in the UK
