Our Client is seeking an Engineer III – Electrical to lead electrical capital projects within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. This role owns projects end‐to‐end, with a primary focus on PLC and HMI upgrades, control system rebuilds, and electrical infrastructure improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical capital projects from scope definition through commissioning ($50K–$3M).
• Manage project cost, schedule, contractors, and execution.
• Oversee PLC, HMI, MCC, power distribution, and 3‐phase electrical system upgrades.
• Collaborate with Controls Engineering, Maintenance, Safety, Environmental, and Production teams.
• Coordinate with external engineering firms and system integrators.
• Provide limited advanced troubleshooting support for production emergencies (~15%).
• Contribute to engineering standards and mentor junior engineers.

Tools & Systems

• PLCs & HMIs
• Microsoft Project
• SAP (POs, equipment ordering, cost tracking)
• AutoCAD, SolidWorks (3D )

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in an industrial environment.
• Strong experience managing capital projects.
• Knowledge of PLCs, MCCs, power distribution, industrial controls, and NEC/IEEE standards.
• Comfortable leading contractors and working cross‐functionally.

• Heavy industrial manufacturing setting.
• Hybrid schedule with on‐site presence during critical project phases.
