Job Description:

The Electrical Project Engineer is responsible for working alongside estimators and construction staff to provide project management services, engineering design, support & coordination to ensure successful project completion within budget & production schedules for General Contractors. Requires using knowledge of electrical systems for commercial, industrial, or other low & medium voltage systems along with compliance of the Electrical Code & design software's to create electrical system designs for construction installation.


Responsibilities

  • Preform project management duties for assigned projects
  • Assist and train under experienced engineers & estimators
  • Working with and designing electrical schematics and blueprints for projects
  • Use software such as ACAD, REVIT, BlueBeam, and ConEst


Project Management Duties

  • Manage submittals, drawings, budgets and reports for assigned projects.
  • Track and create progress billing reports for all aspects of assigned projects.
  • Participate in the proposal process and meetings as needed
  • Serve as point of contact to clients, providing clear, effective, efficient, and timely communication on all project related issues and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other project partners. (Sub contractors, architects, engineers, code enforcement agencies, etc.)
  • Work with construction field leadership to ensure on-schedule, with in budget completion
  • Visits sites as needed


Education, Experience & Software

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering required. Can accept a Minor in Electrical Engineering with a completed Bachelors Degree.
  • In pursuit of EIT, FE, or PE certification (Training/Test Reimbursement offered)
  • Commercial Electrical Experience: 5 year ()
  • Construction Experience: 2 year ()
  • Experience using Software like Auto Cad & Revit
  • Knowledge of NEC


Skills and Expertise:

  • Demonstrate communication, organization and customer relation skills.
  • Previous field electrical experience is a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems for commercial, industrial, or other low & medium voltage systems
  • Knowledge of the Electrical Code & how to navigate.
  • Knowledgeable of Revit, AutoCAD and other design software is beneficial.


Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Job Type: Full-time 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8 hour daily shifts

Main work location will be at the office and may include the following:

  • Repetitive motion consistent with computer work
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Occasional site visits & meetings
  • No Hybrid or Remote positions offered
