Electrical Project Engineer
Glasgow
£45,000 to £50,000 + Vehicle + Bonus
The Role
NEOS Engineering Recruitment are working with a market-leading provider of temporary site services and modular solutions to recruit an Electrically Biased Project Engineer.
This role will take responsibility for the design, installation and commissioning of temporary electrical site services supporting construction projects nationwide, including modular buildings and welfare units. You’ll be involved from early-stage design through to site delivery, testing and final handover.
Key Responsibilities
Design and specify temporary electrical site services for construction compounds
Electrical design for modular buildings, welfare units and site infrastructure
Carry out site surveys to assess power requirements and layouts
Manage projects from design, install and commissioning through to completion
Oversee on-site electrical installations and subcontractors
Ensure all works comply with BS7671, H&S regulations and RAMS
Produce electrical drawings, load calculations and commissioning documentation
Liaise with internal teams, clients and suppliers to deliver projects on time
Fault finding and technical support during and post-installation
The Ideal Candidate
Electrically biased Project Engineer or Senior Electrician ready to step up
Background in temporary construction site services or similar environments
Experience with LV distribution, generators and temporary power systems
Exposure to modular buildings, welfare units or site compounds
Comfortable managing multiple projects across live construction sites
Strong communication and organisational skills
Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
18th Edition Wiring Regulations – ESSENTIAL
ECS / CSCS card ()
SMSTS / SSSTS (advantageous)
Full UK Driving Licence
