Job Description

Job Title - Electrical Project Engineer\nDuration - 6-8 Months\nWorking Model - Hybrid (2 days per week in Central London)\nHourly Rate - £35p/hour - £45p/hour Outside IR35 (dependant on experience)\n\nProject Engineer Overview \nMy client is looking for someone to provide electrical engineering support on single point mooring projects for FPSO and FSO facilities, working within a small consultancy environment. The role focuses on preparing and reviewing technical documentation, supporting equipment specification, and coordinating with vendors and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery.\n\nThe Project Engineer role will involve:\n\nPreparing and reviewing electrical technical documentation, including equipment data sheets\nDeveloping electrical load lists, cable sizing and voltage drop calculations\nPreparing and reviewing specifications for electrical equipment and switchboards\nReviewing vendor documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements\nLiaising with vendors and supporting technical queries\nCoordinating with site teams and supporting project interfaces\nThe Project Engineer will need to have the following attributes:\n\nExperience in oil & gas or petrochemical environments\nAround 5 years’ experience as an Electrical Project Engineer or in a similar role\nGood understanding of electrical systems and IEC 60079\nFamiliarity with industrial communication networks\nStrong Excel and Word skills\nGood verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to review technical documentation and work with vendors and site teamsDesirable attributes for the Project Engineer include:\n\nExperience with LV switchboard packages\nExperience working on FPSO projects\nExperience with single point mooring systems\nExperience working with classification societies \nHappy to consider an experienced candidate if it meets rate expectations.\n\nIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date CV, along with your availability and hourly rate expectations
