Position Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for industrial and manufacturing facilities. This role will be responsible for creating electrical drawings, developing system designs, supporting project execution, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, motor controls, instrumentation, and automation components.
  • \n

  • Create and maintain electrical drawings, schematics, panel layouts, and bills of material.
  • \n

  • Perform electrical calculations, including load studies, voltage drop analysis, and equipment sizing.
  • \n

  • Coordinate with mechanical, controls, and operations teams to integrate electrical designs into larger projects.
  • \n

  • Review vendor drawings and technical specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • \n

  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
  • \n

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and recommend design improvements.
  • \n

  • Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements.
  • \n

Qualifications

    \n
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • \n

  • 3+ years of electrical design experience in industrial, manufacturing, or commercial environments.
  • \n

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Revit, or similar design software.
  • \n

  • Experience with power distribution systems, motor controls, PLCs, VFDs, and instrumentation.
  • \n

  • Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, and other relevant electrical codes and standards.
  • \n

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • \n
