Electrical Project Engineer

A leading UK M&E Contractor with a strong presence across Commercial, Residential, and Data Centre sectors is seeking Electrical Project Engineers of all levels to join its Commercial Division. This role offers the opportunity to work on multiple brand-new commercial projects across Central London, contributing to some of the city’s most high-profile developments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Electrical Project Engineer to progress within a company that truly values development and internal promotion. You’ll gain exposure to large-scale commercial schemes with a clear pathway toward Project Management and beyond.

In this role, you will:

• Support the Project Manager in delivering full electrical packages on major commercial projects across Central London.
• Take ownership of electrical coordination, design reviews, procurement, and on-site delivery.
• Liaise closely with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure technical and programme requirements are met.
• Oversee installation quality, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
• Collaborate with mechanical and MEP teams to ensure fully integrated project delivery.

Experience required:

• Proven experience working as an Electrical Project Engineer within a Building Services or M&E contracting environment.
• Background in commercial fit-out or new-build commercial projects (ideally £5m+ in M&E value).
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, containment, and fire alarm systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and manage coordination between disciplines.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.

Package:

• Salary up to £65,000 - £85,000 (depending on experience)
