Electrical Project Engineer

Location: Hull / Dublin , UK / Ireland (On-site)

Job Type: Contract / Full-time

Daily Rate: Circa £300


We are working with a highly regarded international engineering contractor, known for delivering complex, high-value projects in the pharmaceutical, semiconductor, and advanced industrial sectors.

They are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join their delivery team on a major build in Oxford. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge electrical systems within a collaborative, high-performance environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the technical point of contact for electrical scope throughout the project
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including design teams, contractors, and suppliers
  • Review design drawings and specifications to fully understand project scope
  • Support coordination of BIM and installation drawings in line with project timelines
  • Ensure engineering deliverables align with procurement and construction schedules
  • Prepare and submit technical submittals; track approvals and revisions
  • Manage material take-offs, procurement schedules, and vendor engagement
  • Track and coordinate electrical equipment deliveries to site
  • Ensure works are completed in accordance with technical specifications and QA plans
  • Conduct site audits to ensure compliance with processes and standards
  • Support the preparation of completion and handover documentation
  • Assist with subcontractor and supplier packages alongside the commercial team
  • Provide technical support to the construction team during installation and commissioning
  • Coordinate with the client team and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements


Candidate Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience with a recognised electrical contractor, ideally in high-tech or industrial projects
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and project workflows
  • Familiar with Navisworks, AutoCAD/BIM tools, and project management systems
  • Experience supporting the delivery of complex, time-sensitive builds
  • Highly organised with strong planning and coordination abilities
  • Effective communicator and team player, able to liaise with multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of project planning software (Primavera, MS Project) is an advantage
