We are seeking an experienced Electrical Preconstruction Project Manager to lead electrical planning efforts on complex, large-scale commercial and Department of Defense (DoD) projects. This role drives scope definition, design coordination, scheduling, budgeting, procurement strategy, and project readiness from pursuit through handoff to operations. The position partners closely with Estimating, Design, Operations, and Project Executives to ensure projects are fully coordinated, constructible, compliant, and aligned with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.
The position is located within proximity to our Jacksonville, FL office and may require occasional travel to project sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead electrical preconstruction efforts for proposals and awarded projects

Review RFPs, drawings, and specifications to define scope, risks, and assumptions

Coordinate with designers, subcontractors, and internal teams to develop accurate scopes, budgets, and schedules

Develop conceptual and integrated electrical construction schedules

Support estimating, bid-day activities, and subcontractor buyout strategies

Identify long-lead electrical equipment and support early procurement planning

Ensure compliance with DoD requirements, installation standards, and security protocols

Support project handoff to Project Management and Operations

Contribute to continuous improvement within the Electrical Preconstruction team
What We're Looking For

Deep understanding of DoD design-build projects and compliance requirements

Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)

10+ years in the electrical construction industry

5+ years in Electrical Project Management and/or Preconstruction

Experience with DoD, military, design-build, or large commercial projects
-
Proficiency with tools such as McCormick, Bluebeam, P6, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Microsoft Office
