Title - Manufacturing Engineer (Electrical)

Location - Charlotte, NC 28273

Hours - M-F 1st Shift

Job Summary

The Electrical Production Engineering Technician’s primary function is to bridge the gap between Engineering and Operations, assist/oversee all larger FAT/EQT product testing and provide support to improve the overall efficiency and quality of the product and production cycle.

Key Responsibilities

· Support the electrical (and basic mechanical) assembly process by interpreting approved design

· models/drawings and communicating the solutions to the shop floor.

· Improve the overall efficiency of the plant assembly process, including testing and QA processes.

· Work with lead hands in production and develop engineering solutions for production and design issues.

· Assist in creating and implementing engineering change requests (ECR).

· Assist in improving product quality and consistency through refinements and improvements in the assembly

· process.

Qualifications & Experience

· Diploma or degree in electrical engineering/technology required

· Experience in electrical assembly/production environment.

· Electrical knowledge and experience with CSA, UL, NEC.

· Must demonstrate attention to detail and provide accuracy in calculations and documentation.

· Experience with Autocad software.

· Work with the Electrical and Mechanical assembly teams to ensure the build process's accuracy and support the

· Project Managers to ensure budget and timelines are protected.

· Support root-cause analysis and develop corrective measures with QA for issues that extend through the

· manufacturing process.

· Work with Engineering and Operations to develop methods, and research tools for improving the assembly

· process.

· Experience with Solidworks CAD software an asset.

· The ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings.

· ERP knowledge would be considered an asset.

· Must have a valid driver's license and travel primarily in North America but potentially abroad.
