Electrical Maintenance Technician – North Wales
£20.13 per hour + Overtime Opportunities
Full-Time | Permanent | Shift-Based Role
We are currently recruiting an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician on behalf of a long-established, market-leading manufacturing company based in North Wales. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation with a strong reputation and a high-performing engineering team.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a fast-paced production facility. This is a hands-on role within a small, skilled engineering team, focused on ensuring machinery reliability and minimising downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities
Respond promptly to breakdowns and diagnose faults effectively
Conduct repairs, servicing, and overhauls on a range of electrical and mechanical equipment
Assist with continuous improvement projects and installation of new equipment
Work closely with production teams to ensure safe and efficient operations
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience within a process or production environment (packaging machinery experience desirable)
Strong understanding of PPM systems
18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
HNC or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
Experience with industrial electrical installations
Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Working Hours & Shifts
Monday to Friday, with flexibility for overtime and occasional weekend work.
Winter Shifts (September–March):
Week 1: 07:00–19:00 (Mon–Thu)
Week 2: 07:00–17:30 (Mon–Thu) + 07:00–13:00 (Fri)
Summer Shifts (April–August):
Week 1: 07:00–16:30 (Mon–Thu) + 07:00–13:00 (Fri)
Week 2: 07:00–17:00 (Mon–Thu)
