Electrical Maintenance Technician

Installs, repairs, and maintains production-line equipment, working on electrical systems as well as hydraulic and pneumatic components. Must have a basic understanding of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and follow established safety and GMP practices.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Performing scheduled maintenance and responding to equipment breakdowns.
- Completing daily maintenance and downtime logs and ensuring mechanic paperwork is accurate and submitted promptly.
- Assisting with general building maintenance tasks.
- Maintaining records and performing basic cost analysis.
- Ordering parts and supplies through a requisition database.
- Adhering to GMPs and company safety procedures.
Required and qualifications:
- Some experience with electrical wiring.
- Familiarity with PLCs; programming is not required but a fundamental understanding is necessary.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
- Fabrication and welding skills are advantageous.
- Strong troubleshooting and electro-mechanical repair abilities.
- Able to climb ladders and lift at least 50 pounds.
- Capable of operating a forklift.
- Effective communicator, able to relay critical information to production staff and subsequent shifts.
- Available for weekend shifts and overtime as needed.
