Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: West Yorkshire
Salary: £45,200 plus £2,300 shift allowance
TXM Recruit is working in partnership with one of the UK’s most recognisable retailers to recruit experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineers for their distribution centre in South Elmsall. This is a great opportunity to work in a highly automated environment, supporting modern, state-of-the-art equipment critical to site operations.
Shift Pattern:
Rotating Days & Nights
06:00–18:00 and 18:00–06:00
3 on 3 off
The Role You’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving site performance by carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of automated warehouse systems.
Key duties include:
Fault finding and diagnostics on PLC-controlled equipment
Planned preventative maintenance on conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics and robotic systems
Responding to breakdowns and completing repairs within agreed timeframes to reduce downtime
Carrying out servicing and repairs, taking ownership of issues through to resolution
Applying strong mechanical and electrical knowledge to day-to-day tasks
Working accurately from setup instructions, assembly guides and checklists
Communicating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across the site
What We’re Looking For
Completed engineering apprenticeship with ONC or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role, ideally within warehousing, FMCG or a similar environment
Working knowledge of PLC systems and automation equipment
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CMMS systems
Experience managing engineering spares and inventory
Willing and able to work at heights of up to 20 metres (training provided)
