Maintenance Engineer (Electrical biased)
Shift pattern: Mon-Fri - 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm rotating shift
Location: Rochester
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client's dynamic team based in Rochester. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting both reactive and planned maintenance on machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. You will play a key role in managing and organising all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks, maintaining accurate records within our MaintainX system, and coordinating with contractors for machine services.
Your expertise will also be crucial in controlling spare parts inventory and overseeing all service documentation. You will conduct routine safety inspections and provide support to the production team as needed. Additionally, you will be involved in improvement projects and participate in our Out of Hours Call Out rota, contributing to a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Key experience:
Completion of an Electrical Engineering apprenticeship or a similar qualification with relevant experience.
Electrical Engineering qualification.
17th or 18th Edition qualified.
Proven experience in a manufacturing setting is essential.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Proficiency in Mitsubishi PLCs and HMIs.
Excellent analytical and fault-finding abilities.
Knowledge of electric motors and pneumatics, along with basic mechanical skills.
Commitment to a safety-first culture and the ability to work independently.Desirable Skills:
Experience with Fanuc Robotics Programming and CNC Programming.
Familiarity with ABB Robotics Programming and Siemens PLCs & HMIs.What We Offer:
