About the Role
Wolviston Management Services are proud to be supporting a long-established industry leader in the search for a highly motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering Department in Middlesbrough.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and experienced individual to take the next step in their engineering career, working within a well-structured and safety-focused environment. You’ll be responsible for leading and supporting electrical maintenance activities, with a key focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence within your area.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the Electrical Craft Team Leader and Team Members to ensure safe, compliant and efficient operations
Drive improvements through performance analysis, root cause investigations and preventative maintenance strategies
Manage planned maintenance schedules and unplanned fault response, with a proactive approach to reliability and asset care
Conduct and encourage regular safety conversations and task reviews, continuously striving for a zero-harm culture
Support the implementation of new technologies and optimised working methods across electrical systems and installations
Take accountability for the development, competence and succession planning of your team
Monitor and maintain compliance with statutory legislation, internal standards and safe systems of work About You
HNC qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, or a time-served craftsperson with relevant qualifications and supervisory experience
Demonstrable background in leading engineering teams, with a passion for developing people and systems
Solid understanding of maintenance planning systems (SAP knowledge advantageous)
Knowledge of DC systems, drives, gantry cranes and LOLER regulations
Experience of working in a heavy industrial or process-driven environment
Skilled in defect elimination, root cause analysis and continuous improvement techniques What’s in it for You?
