Multi-Skilled (Electrical bias) Maintenance Engineer \n\nInitial 3-month contract\n\nRate £35.00 - £37.50 p/h \n\nDays / Nights\n\nManchester Wigan St Helens Warrington Liverpool\n\nWarehouse Automation / FMCG / Conveyor Systems / Electrical / Mechanical\n\nI am currently recruiting on behalf of a global leader in warehouse automation and logistics solutions. They are seeking an experienced Multi-skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support the ongoing operation of a highly automated distribution facility in Greater Manchester.\n\nFor this position, you will be required to carry out the following duties:\n\nCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a fully integrated automation system\nDiagnose and repair faults on automated stacker cranes and pallet crane systems\nMaintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems, sortation equipment and automated pallet handling systems\nSupport trailer loading and unloading automation processes\nWork safely at height, including maintenance on cranes and high-bay racking systems\nRespond quickly to breakdowns to minimise operational disruption in a high-throughput environment\nThe successful contractor will have the following attributes:\n\nLevel 3 Electrical Qualification (essential)\nElectrically biased, ideally multi-skilled\nProven experience in FMCG environments\nWorking at Height and Rescue from Height certification (essential)\nFirst Aid at Height (desirable)\nComfortable working 12-hour days and nights on a rotating shift pattern\nAbility to work independently on shift when required\nExperience with bespoke warehouse control software advantageous\nThe benefits of this position:\n\nOpportunity to work on a large-scale, high-profile automation site for a global FMCG brand\nRolling contract with ad hoc holiday cover opportunities\n12-hour shifts on a rotating pattern (2 days/2 nights/5 off or similar) including weekends\nATA is committed to creating a diverse workforce and is an equal opportunities employer.
