Job Overview\n\nWe are seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical systems and equipment to ensure maximum operational efficiency, safety, and reliability.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPerform routine maintenance, inspections, and testing of electrical systems and machinery\nDiagnose and repair electrical faults in a timely manner to minimize downtime\nInterpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals\nInstall, maintain, and upgrade electrical components, control panels, and wiring systems\nEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and reliability\nMaintain accurate maintenance records and documentation\nWork collaboratively with mechanical engineers, production teams, and external contractors\nRespond promptly to emergency breakdowns and provide effective solutions\n\nRequired Qualifications & Skills\n\nDegree, diploma, or apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or a related field\nProven experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment\nStrong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motors, and control systems\nAbility to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints\nFamiliarity with relevant safety standards and regulations\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail\nGood communication and teamwork abilities\nFlexibility to work shifts, including evenings or weekends if required\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience with automation systems and fault-finding on PLCs\nKnowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance techniques\nCertification in electrical safety (e.g., 18th Edition Wiring Regulations in the UK)\n\nBenefits\n\nCompetitive salary and overtime opportunities\nPension scheme\nHealth and wellness programs\nTraining and career development opportunities\nPaid holidays and leave entitlement
