Overview
We are partnering with a large, advanced manufacturing organization to identify an Electrical Maintenance Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support plant operations and reliability.
This is a high-impact, plant-facing role responsible for improving electrical system performance, supporting troubleshooting efforts, and coordinating maintenance and project work across a complex industrial facility.
This is not a purely desk-based role. You will spend significant time on the plant floor working alongside maintenance and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting industrial electrical systems, including PLCs, drives, and control components

Support and guide electricians in diagnosing and resolving equipment issues

Develop job plans, scope work, and coordinate execution of maintenance activities

Manage contractors and vendors, including obtaining quotes, coordinating schedules, and overseeing work execution

Partner with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and uptime

Assist with plant electrical infrastructure, including low-to-medium voltage systems (up to approximately 2300V)

Support capital projects, safety upgrades, and equipment improvements
What You'll Be Doing Day-to-Day

Investigating equipment issues and supporting root cause analysis

Spending time on the plant floor assessing problems and guiding solutions

Coordinating internal labor and external contractors to complete work

Balancing reactive troubleshooting with planned maintenance and project work
Qualifications
-
Experience in industrial or manufacturing electrical environments is required

Strong troubleshooting background with PLCs, drives, I/O systems, and industrial controls

Ability to diagnose issues and guide teams to resolution, not just theoretical knowledge

Experience coordinating maintenance work, vendors, or contractors is a plus

Understanding of electrical systems in a heavy industrial setting

Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
