Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Electronics Bias)

Annual Salary: £48,000 + Overtime
Location: Cambridge

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer with a strong electronics bias to join our dedicated team. This role is essential for maintaining the high standards of our operations, particularly in a manufacturing setting that demands precision and reliability.

Day-to-day of the role:

\n

    \n
  • Conduct hands-on repairs and fault-finding on vacuum machinery.
  • \n

  • Diagnose and repair circuit boards and PCBs.
  • \n

  • Utilise electrical drawings and schematics for effective fault finding.
  • \n

  • Work with PLCs, particularly Allen Bradley and Siemens.
  • \n

  • Operate within a team of 4 engineers, focusing on expanding our capabilities and maintaining our high standards.
  • \n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

\n

    \n
  • Strong electrical bias with experience in electronics.
  • \n

  • Proven experience in repairing and fault-finding on vacuum machinery.
  • \n

  • Competent in diagnosing and repairing circuit boards and PCBs.
  • \n

  • Skilled in using electrical drawings and schematics for fault finding.
  • \n

  • Some experience with PLCs, particularly Allen Bradley and Siemens.
  • \n

  • Background in manufacturing, food manufacturing, or heavy industry is .
  • \n

  • Additional qualifications such as ONC/HNC in electronic/electrical fields, BS7671 with 17th Edition Wiring Regulations, and experience in high voltage or RF are highly desirable.
