Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Controlled Food Environment\nLocation: Leeds\nSalary: £43000 + Overtime + Benefits\nJob Type: Permanent\nShift Pattern: Monday to Friday\nJob Description:\nWe are seeking an experienced electrical maintenance engineer to join a highly regarded food manufacturing company operating in a clean, controlled environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled individual to work with state-of-the-art equipment and play a key role in maintaining the reliability of critical food production machinery.\nResponsibilities:\n * \n Conducting electrical maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on production and packaging machinery.\n * \n Ensuring compliance with strict food hygiene, safety, and quality standards.\n * \n Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with schedules.\n * \n Diagnosing faults on motors, sensors, panels, and PLC-controlled systems.\n * \n Working alongside mechanical engineers to support site-wide operations.\nRequirements:\n * \n Proven experience as an electrical maintenance engineer, ideally within a food or FMCG environment.\n * \n Knowledge of working in a clean or controlled environment is highly desirable.\n * \n Strong understanding of 3-phase systems, control panels, and PLCs (Siemens/Allen Bradley).\n * \n Recognised electrical qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, HNC).\n * \n Proactive attitude and excellent fault-finding abilities.\nAs an electrical maintenance engineer, you will play a vital part in ensuring food safety and production uptime.
