New Gig Solutions is actively seeking a Temporary Lab Technician (Electrical Technician) to support our client's Electrical Engineering team in Santa Clara. This is a short-term role (1–2 months) with a growing medical device company, ideal for someone with strong fine motor skills, experience working with small electrical components, and the ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced lab setting.
This opportunity is open due to the current technician being assigned to cleanroom production — and we're looking for someone who can jump in and support right away.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in electrical assembly of small and precise components
- Perform wiring and soldering work on crowded PCBs (printed circuit boards)
- Support the engineering team at various stages of the assembly process
- Learn quickly and adapt to diverse electrical components with varying specifications
- Maintain attention to detail when working with delicate materials and setups
Requirements:
- Previous experience with electrical assembly, soldering, and wiring
- Exceptional fine hand skills – must be comfortable handling very small components
- Ability to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Experience working in a lab or technical environment
Contract Duration:
- 1 to 2 months, with the possibility of extension based on project needs
- Full-time hours during the contract period
