The Greenridge Group, a prime contractor and consulting firm specializing in Project and Construction Management is seeking an Electrical/IT Inspectorto join our team. This role ensures that all electrical and IT system installations comply with building codes, safety standards, and project specifications. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, proven field experience, and the ability to document and communicate findings clearly.

*Salary Range: $150K/Year-$160K/Year - Dependent on Candidate's Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections of electrical and IT systems across terminal and building projects.
  • Review and interpret construction documents, including blueprints, shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Prepare comprehensive daily inspection reports documenting construction activities, safety issues, and compliance status.
  • Verify contractor compliance with NEC, NFPA 70/70E/72, Cal-OSHA, and LAWA standards.
  • Track and document time-and-material work, field changes, and job quantities.
  • Support validation of contractor payment requests based on approved schedules of value.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and third-party agencies on special inspections and testing.
  • Inspect installations such as:
    • Underground utilities and duct banks
    • High-voltage switchgear and panels
    • Conduits, grounding systems, and lighting
    • Fire life safety systems (smoke/heat detection, suppression systems)

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience performing electrical/IT inspections for building construction.
  • Current ICC Commercial Electrical Inspector Certification (required).
  • Proof of NFPA 70E training (within last 3 years).
  • Proof of Cal-OSHA 30-hour training (within last 4 years).
  • Training and knowledge of NFPA 70, 70E, and 72.
  • Fall protection and harness training.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a LAWA SIDA badge prior to official start.

Qualifications

  • Journey-level experience as an electrician in public works, institutional, commercial, or industrial projects.
  • Strong background in enforcing building codes and regulations.
  • Experience on complex projects involving multiple stakeholders (contractors, engineers, city officials).
  • Proven ability to identify deficiencies and ensure corrective action.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and time-management skills.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in project management/inspection software and tools: Microsoft Office Suite, PMWeb, Adobe Pro, Bluebeam, etc.
  • Ability to manage inspection documents electronically with minimal supervision.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Other Requirements

  • Ability to work any assigned shift (day, swing, or night).
  • Flexibility to work modified schedules, weekends, overtime, and extended hours as needed.
  • Must be adaptable to accelerated project schedules.
