Job Description

Electrical Inspector / Electrical Quality Technician

Location: Reading

Contract Type: Contract – Outside IR35

Duration: 12 months+

Role Overview

We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Inspector / Electrical Quality Technician to support long-term works within a Nuclear establishment. The role will focus on the inspection, testing, and quality assurance of electrical installations, ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety, and site standards in a high-security environment.

Candidates must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC) and meet and qualification requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify electrical installations and works on site
• Carry out electrical testing and certification
• Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and quality requirements
• Identify non-conformances and support corrective actions
• Review electrical documentation, test results, and reports
• Liaise with contractors, engineers, and quality teams
• Maintain high safety and workmanship standards in a regulated environment

Essential Requirements

• British (security requirement)
• Must be eligible and willing to obtain SC clearance
• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)
• 2391 and/or 2392 Inspection & Testing qualification
• Valid CSCS card
• Strong, proven electrical inspection / quality experience
• Background in regulated, industrial, or high-integrity environments
