Job DescriptionJob Description

We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Electrical Foreman to lead and supervise crew-level activities on commercial electrical projects in Austin, TX. This role oversees installation, alteration, addition, and repair of electrical systems, conductors, and related equipment. On smaller projects, you may serve as the primary job site supervisor.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Crew and Project Oversight – Manage all Walker field trades on assigned crews or projects.
• Project Planning – Work with the Project Manager to conduct estimates and material take-offs.
• Work Preparation – Ensure tools, equipment, materials, information, and manpower are in place on schedule.
• Layout and Scheduling – Assign work, set schedules, and maintain manpower charts.
• Supervision – Direct crews installing:
• • Electrical feeders
  • Pumps, motors, and generators
  • Control and distribution systems (switchgear, relays, breaker panels)
  • Lighting fixtures, outlets, and related terminations
• Work Monitoring – Oversee progress, coordinate with other trades, and adjust schedules as needed.
• Hands-On Work – Perform work as needed for production or instruction.
• Administrative – Complete daily reports, time sheets, safety forms, and other required documentation.
• Safety Leadership – Enforce safety protocols, provide training, and assist with incident investigations.

Position Requirements

• All skills required for lower-rated positions, including Journeyman duties
• Current Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Minimum 6 years’ commercial/industrial electrical experience
