Field Service Technician – Industrial Electrical/Controls
Travel Requirement:
This position requires 80% travel (domestic and international). Candidates must be comfortable with frequent travel and hold a valid passport. MUST be willing to work overtime!
Responsibilities

Assemble, wire, and install control panels based on electrical schematics.

Upgrade and convert outdated control systems to modern technology.

Support manufacturing, controls, and electrical systems for new builds, rebuilds, and field service projects.

Diagnose technical and electrical issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.

Complete and submit daily service reports detailing work performed, issues encountered, and resolutions.

Provide timely customer support in both onsite and emergency situations.

Install electrical power generators, switchgears, transformers and circuits.
Requirements
-
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician.

Ability and willingness to travel extensively, Monday–Friday (weekend home time is prioritized but not guaranteed).

Availability to travel on short notice in response to customer emergencies.

Valid passport (required for international travel).
Skills & Competencies
-
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, industrial equipment, and hand tools.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.

Familiarity with diagnostic tools and precision inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).

Skilled in operating forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.

Solid understanding of , state, and local electrical codes and regulations.

Mechanically inclined and comfortable with physically demanding tasks (lifting, bending, working in confined spaces).

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of managing assignments independently.

Customer-focused, with a professional demeanor and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Diligent in documentation, including forms, reports, logs, and records.
