Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and load flow studies.
- Prepare reports for power quality and system coordination.
- Perform quality assurance reviews of test reports.
- Provide on-site engineering support for testing, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
- Operate and understand both basic and advanced test equipment.
- Prepare and conduct training sessions for testing technicians.
- Ensure compliance with safety and employment policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Completion of the Fundamentals in Engineering exam (FE Exam) or on track to complete.
- 2-3 years of experience in power systems engineering.
- NETA Level 2 certification and the ability to obtain NETA Level 3 within 2-3 years.
- Familiarity with NETA, NFPA, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
- Experience with power systems modelling and analysis software, preferably SKM.
- Eligibility for Professional Engineer registration in PA, MD, DE, NJ.
- Strong analytical skills, mechanical aptitude, and good communication abilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work 40 hours/week in 8-to-10-hour shifts.
- Capability to lift weights up to 75 lbs. and perform tasks requiring physical endurance.
- Comfortable working in various environmental conditions and using personal protective equipment.
