For one of our key clients in Northern Sweden we are seeking Electrical Expeditors on long term consultancy contracts with excellent packages on offer.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Package Engineer (Expeditor / Package Leader) to manage and oversee the manufacturing of critical electrical equipment, including:
- Transformers
- Electrical cabinets
- GIS systems
- Other industrial electrical components
You will be responsible for managing electrical equipment supply from the design phase through manufacturing at global workshops, ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, and project requirements.
Your scope will include:
- Overseeing and witnessing workshop tests
- Monitoring transport and delivery to site
- Ensuring contractual performance and risk mitigation
This position reports to the Expediting Leader and works closely with the client and cross-functional teams to manage manufacturing activities, contractual obligations, risk, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Expediting Leader
- Support the Contract Management Team and Project Directors on manufacturing processes related to project supplies
- Assist the Electrical Engineering team during the design phase
- Coordinate stakeholders to support decision-making and resolve conflicts
- Track and monitor supplies to ensure on-time delivery in line with contractual schedules
- Ensure compliance with client policies and project procedures
- Coordinate logistics activities with suppliers and client teams
- Establish and maintain strong technical and administrative relationships with clients and contractors
- Monitor manufacturing, packaging, shipping, and material receipt
- Verify suppliers meet agreed timelines and milestones
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications and QA/QC requirements
- Confirm completeness and accuracy of technical documentation (drawings, certificates, manuals, test reports)
- Maintain continuous communication with suppliers to resolve delays or quality issues
- Provide regular status updates and raise risk alerts to the project team
- Support the planning team with schedule updates and recovery plans
- Identify risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies
- Issue and sign formal communications related to project supplies
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Expediting Leader and PMC Project Directors
Requirements & Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical equipment manufacturing processes within Oil & Gas, Engineering & Construction, Steel, Mining, or Infrastructure sectors
- Strong QA/QC background
- Experience with workshop manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of international logistics and Incoterms
- Risk identification and mitigation planning experience
- Strong commercial awareness
- Experience working on technically complex, large-scale projects
- Willingness to travel occasionally to workshops or plant locations
- Proficiency in MS Office, Primavera, and/or Aconex
