Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our team in Covington, GA. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for industrial electrical projects. The Estimator will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and other team members to gather project details, evaluate specifications, and create thorough and accurate bids. While this position is primarily office-based, occasional travel to job sites may be required to collect information and ensure bid accuracy.
Key Responsibilities

Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to determine electrical scope of work.

Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, material, and equipment needs for industrial electrical projects.

Collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents to confirm scope, schedule, and project requirements.

Develop bid proposals and ensure they are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.

Identify cost-saving opportunities, risks, and alternatives within bids.

Assist with pre-bid meetings and occasional site visits to verify project conditions.

Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and supporting documentation.

Stay current with industry pricing, suppliers, and market trends.

Support handoff of awarded projects to operations team for execution.
Qualifications

3+ years of experience in electrical estimating (industrial or commercial ).

Strong understanding of electrical systems, installation methods, and construction practices.

Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required).

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Effective communication skills with ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites.
