We are expanding to the new to the Charlotte area and is seeking an experienced estimator to join our team in the North Carolina region.Responsibilities

  • Accurately estimating costs for commercial or industrial electrical installations and efficiently managing projects from inception to completion
  • This role entails full ownership of projects from initiation to completion, with a focus on enhancing cost-estimation methods to minimize disparities between projected and actual expenses

Responsibilities for the Commercial/ Industrial Electrical Estimator:

  • Liaise with clients to understand project requirements, including pricing, invoicing, and project management tasks
  • Analyze blueprints to determine optimal wire lengths and outlet placements, adhering to electrical codes
  • Research market prices to estimate material and fixture costs for electrical projects accurately
  • Review subcontractor and vendor quotes to ensure accuracy in project cost estimation
  • Assess labor requirements for each project to determine project feasibility
  • Evaluate the potential profitability of electrical projects to support bidding decisions
  • Prepare and submit competitive project bids following established guidelines
  • Manage awarded projects and provide assistance in project management when not involved in estimating tasks

Qualifications

  • Requirements for Electrical Estimator:
  • Preferably 3 to 5 years of estimating experience
  • Ability to interpret blueprints accurately
  • Proven track record of quickly and efficiently pricing jobs
  • Sound knowledge of electrical codes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Software used: Trimble, McCormick, Bluebeam
