Key Responsibilities:

Review architectural and engineering drawings, project plans, and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.

Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for a project.

Prepare accurate and competitive bids in collaboration with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.

Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier quotes and negotiate pricing where needed.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, pricing, and construction methods.

Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits when required.

Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risks in project scopes.

Track and manage bid schedules and ensure timely submission of estimates.

Collaborate with other departments to provide post-bid support and hand-off to project execution teams.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

3+ years of experience in commercial estimating (general contractor or subcontractor experience ).

Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes, and industry best practices.

Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, PlanSwift, Sage Estimating, or similar).

Excellent math, analytical, and organizational skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment under tight deadlines.
