Are you an experienced Electrical Estimator looking to take the next step in your career? We’re seeking a detail-driven professional to join our team, preparing accurate and competitive tenders for industrial electrical projects across the water industry, utilities, and wider M&E sectors.



The Role:



You’ll play a key role in our pre-construction process, working closely with design and project delivery teams to ensure bids are technically compliant, commercially sound, and realistically deliverable.



Key Responsibilities

Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications

Prepare detailed cost estimates (labour, materials, subcontractors, prelims, overheads)



*



Manage supplier and subcontractor enquiries, analyse returns, and compile comparisons



*



Work alongside engineers to validate solutions and identify value-engineering opportunities



*



Develop bid summaries for senior management review



*



Support tender handover to project managers, ensuring risks, assumptions, and scope are clear



What We’re Looking For



*



Background in electrical estimating (industrial/commercial projects)



*



Knowledge of WIMES / water treatment / MCCs / LV distribution / containment / cabling



*



Strong IT skills: Excel and estimating tools/software



*



Numerically strong, detail-focused, and commercially aware



Desirable:



*



Electrical qualifications (HNC/HND, ONC, or apprenticeship)



*



Familiarity with NEC contracts



*



Knowledge of Amtech/Trimble ProDesign (or similar)



*



Client-facing experience in presentations and negotiations



*



Exposure to both subcontract and main contractor environments
