The Menu
We have multiple opportunities for Multiskilled Engineers with a focus on Electrical expertise, to join our team at our small but mighty Ashton under Lyne site, (Ryecroft Foods) on a 24/7 shift pattern. Our highly skilled Weetabix Engineers troubleshoot and manage all and wide ranging engineering assets and activities across the plant to maximise production, OEE and production of our malted products.
What's in the recipe?
- Work in alignment with company practices, procedures and SOP's to ensure Health & Safety, Food Safety and legal compliance are upheld at all times.
- Support external contractors who provide additional support (such as OEM services or reactive specialist support).
- Perform reactive and proactive maintenance tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Report and escalate all issues identified during reactive breakdown or any proactive maintenance activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability of assets and engineering working processes.
- Support identifying engineering and any engineering related root causes.
- Provide training and support for the transfer of basic to operator tasks.
- Ensure all review work is logged to our Computerised Maintenance Management System.
We will be interviewing as quickly as you can be available, our usual process will be an initial TEAMS chat and then a face to face competency interview on site with a tour.
Requirements
The Key Ingredients
- Experience of working within a food manufacturing environment and PLC experience is preferred
- You must have completed an Engineering Qualification and/or Apprenticeship and be able to demonstrable electrical competence through training and experience
- ONC or NVQ equivalent qualification as a minimum
- Effective IT skills to include use of Computer Maintenance Management Systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good time management, Communication and Problem-solving skills
- Ability to make timely decisions
- Team player
