Electrical Engineering Manager - Power System Studies - Mission Critical Facilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead our energy audit, retro-commissioning, and optimization studies for mission-critical facilities across the United States. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical engineering, a deep understanding of energy efficiency principles, and proven experience in managing complex projects. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Lead and Manage Energy Audits:

Plan, execute, and oversee comprehensive energy audits of electrical systems in mission-critical facilities, including data centers, hospitals, and telecommunications centers.

Retro-commissioning and Optimization:

Manage retro-commissioning projects to identify and implement operational improvements that enhance energy efficiency and system performance.

Project Management:

Manage all phases of assigned projects, including scope definition, budget development, scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control.

Team Leadership:

Supervise, mentor, and provide technical guidance to a team of electrical engineers and support staff.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Analyze energy consumption data, identify trends, and develop detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations.

Technical Expertise:

Serve as a subject matter expert on electrical systems, energy efficiency technologies, and industry best practices.

Client Communication:

Maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and present technical findings and recommendations effectively.

Business Development:

Support business development efforts by participating in proposals, presentations, and client meetings.

Compliance and Standards:

Ensure all projects comply with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, ASHRAE, IEEE).

Software and Tools:

Utilize energy modeling software (e.g., EnergyPlus, eQUEST), electrical system analysis tools (e.g., SKM, ETAP), and data acquisition systems.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Master's degree .

Seeking 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on energy auditing, retro-commissioning, and/or power systems analysis. At least 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.

Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.

Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems, including medium and low voltage systems.

Deep understanding of energy efficiency principles, technologies, and best practices.

Experience with retro-commissioning processes and methodologies.

Familiarity with data center infrastructure (UPS, generators, cooling systems) is highly desirable.

Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (NEC, ASHRAE, IEEE).
