Career Strategy Consultants is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager for a leading organization in the Dallas, TX area. This role will lead a team of engineers responsible for delivering high-quality electrical and control system solutions. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a generous base salary, bonus incentive, and lucrative benefits package.
This is a hands-on leadership position focused on team development, technical oversight, and successful execution of engineering projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of electrical engineers
- Establish performance goals, KPIs, and development plans
- Conduct performance reviews and support career growth
- Manage staffing needs to ensure team capacity and performance
Project Oversight
- Oversee multiple engineering projects from concept through completion
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Allocate resources effectively across projects
- Resolve complex technical and design challenges
Technical Review & Engineering Excellence
- Review and approve electrical designs, schematics, control panels, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with NEC, UL, IEC, and related standards
- Guide hardware selection and system integration strategies
- Maintain high standards for design quality and accuracy
Standards & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and maintain engineering standards, design guides, and part libraries
- Stay current on industry trends, tools, and regulatory updates
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with manufacturing, controls, sales, and quality teams
- Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders
- Ensure alignment across departments and project teams
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all engineering outputs meet regulatory and safety requirements
- Participate in design reviews, audits, and quality control processes
- Maintain high standards of reliability and performance
Training & Development
- Provide training on tools, technologies, and best practices
- Promote knowledge-sharing and team collaboration
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (advanced degree )
- 6+ years of electrical or controls engineering experience
- 2+ years of leadership or management experience
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar tools
- Deep understanding of power distribution, controls, and electrical systems
- Knowledge of NEC, UL508A, and related standards
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
