Responsibilities
This is an ideal opportunity for a high-energy individual who takes pride in their ability to take the
initiative and make things happen! In this role, you will handle the following responsibilities and duties:
• Serve as lead electrical engineer on multiple project teams and work with electrical designers to
successfully complete projects.
• Determine scope of work and assist with coordination efforts with clients, consultants, and other
team members.
• Prepare studies, reports, and produce complete electrical construction documents.
• Design of building interior and exterior lighting system, power and emergency power distribution
systems.
• Design building fire alarm, security and paging systems and building telephone, data, and TV
cabling systems.
• Meet, communicate and coordinate project requirements with owners, architects, and other
designers and contractors.
• Prepare specifications in AIA Masterspec format.
• Prepare electrical construction estimates and review shop drawings.
• Monitor electrical construction progress, conduct field inspections and prepare reports.
• Mentor junior staff.
Education & Experience Requirements
• BSEE or Architectural Engineering degree with 5-10 years’ progressive, technical experience in a
consulting engineering firm.
• Must have excellent communication skills and experience in preparation of electrical
construction documents, client management and project supervision, knowledge of building
codes, NEC, and NFPA.A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Understanding of REVIT and AutoCAD is required.
• LEED AP a plus.
