ResponsibilitiesThe Electrical Engineer is a member of the Plant Engineering team responsible for supporting facility infrastructure, manufacturing equipment, and process systems across the full production lifecycle. This role focuses on maintaining and improving electrical and control systems, upgrading equipment, supporting plant modifications, and partnering with skilled trades and contractors to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The Electrical Engineer plays a key role in capital projects, process changes, and day-to-day technical support for manufacturing operations.
This role is based in Muskegon County, Michigan.

Primary Responsibilities
- Support maintenance and reliability of facility and manufacturing equipment across all production processes.
- Lead or support projects to upgrade existing electrical equipment, controls, and systems.
- Coordinate and support plant rearrangements and layout changes related to electrical and control systems.
- Assist in selection, procurement, installation, and commissioning of new equipment to support manufacturing process changes.
- Provide technical support to skilled trades and external contractors.
- Troubleshoot electrical, control, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.
- Support day-to-day operations by acting as an engineering resource for production and maintenance teams.
- Ensure electrical systems comply with safety standards, codes, and internal requirements.
- Support continuous improvement, reliability, and automation initiatives.

QualificationsBasic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution
- , co-op, or prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)
Qualifications
- PLC programming experience
- HMI programming experience
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, RSLogix, and Studio 5000
- Experience with Wonderware, iFIX, and SCADA systems
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems below 600V
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical
- Experience with industrial robotics (Motoman or similar)
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 79 standards
- Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Familiarity with thermocouples, RTDs, transmitters, and flowmeters
- Knowledge of variable frequency drives (VFDs)
