Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with strong experience in coordinated AC and DC drive systems to join our team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled engineer who is passionate about drive systems and thrives in a collaborative, hands-on environment supporting the pulp & paper industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and integration of coordinated drive systems, including AC/DC drives, motors, master PLCs, and power/control infrastructure.

• Analyze and specify drive system requirements, including NRL/RDC horsepower, in collaboration with drive manufacturers and OEMs.

• Develop comprehensive drive system architectures and ensure smooth interface with plant DCS/PLC control systems.

• Prepare and evaluate technical specifications, vendor bids, and proposals for drive systems.

• Review and provide technical feedback on vendor drawings, project timelines, and documentation.

• Assist with construction package development and provide field support during installation and commissioning phases.

• Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), construction readiness reviews, and on-site startup activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required).

• Paper Mills and or Rolled Steel Mill exp !

• Professional Engineer (PE) license ().

• 8+ years of relevant experience in drive systems engineering, with significant experience in pulp & paper or heavy industrial applications.

• Strong knowledge of power distribution, harmonics, and industrial control systems.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
