Electrical Engineer Utility Project Engineer
Location: Berwyn, PA
Job Type and Duration: 1 year plus assignment. Possible temp to perm hire.
Remote Hybrid: 3 days/week in office and 2 days / week from home

Our utility client is seeking an Electric Utility Project Engineer for their Berwyn, PA office. 

Top Skills sought:

Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Design Review.

5-10 years prior experience in Electric Utility work, project management and construction.

Bachelors degree in Engineering. / Electrical Engineer

Specific projects you will be working on include:

Substation retirements, Installation of reclosers and other electrical equipment, reconductoring, reliability enhancements.

Prefer candidates who have worked for a US Electric utility and some project management experience.

General Job Description: A Senior Utility Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing complex utility projects, including planning, design, construction, and implementation. Responsibilities may include:
Leading the planning and design of utility projects, including conducting feasibility studies, developing project plans and specifications, and obtaining regulatory approvals.
Managing project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, such as engineers, contractors, regulatory agencies, and customers, to ensure project goals are met.
Procuring materials and equipment for projects and managing the bidding process.
Providing technical guidance and support to project team members, including engineers and technicians.
Monitoring project progress and performance, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Preparing and reviewing project reports, documentation, and drawings.
Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices in utility engineering and project management.
Participating in training and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
