Job DescriptionJob Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to design and develop high-speed optical transceiver hardware for next- data communication systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in high-speed digital and mixed-signal design, signal integrity, and optical module development (e.g., SFP, QSFP, OSFP). This role involves full product lifecycle ownership from architecture through validation and production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-speed optical transceiver modules (e.g., SFP+, QSFP28, QSFP-DD, OSFP)
  • Perform schematic capture and oversee multilayer PCB layout for high-speed designs
  • Conduct signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) analysis for high-speed channels (NRZ/PAM4)
  • Simulate high-speed links using industry tools and validate performance in lab environments
  • Debug and troubleshoot hardware issues during bring-up and validation phases
  • Perform compliance testing according to industry standards (e.g., IEEE 802.3, MSA specifications)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, mechanical, optical, and manufacturing engineers
  • Support product qualification, manufacturing, and yield improvement efforts
  • Generate detailed design documentation, test plans, and reports

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Strong understanding of high-speed interfaces (10G/25G/50G/100G/400G+)
  • Experience with signal integrity concepts: impedance control, jitter, crosstalk, insertion/return loss
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscope, BERT, VNA, TDR)
  • Experience with PCB design and schematic tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence Allegro)
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as Ethernet, I2C, SPI, MDIO

Qualifications

  • Experience with PAM4 signaling and advanced modulation schemes
  • Familiarity with optical components (lasers, photodiodes, TIAs, DSPs)
  • Experience with simulation tools (e.g., Keysight ADS, Ansys HFSS)
  • Knowledge of thermal design and high-density module packaging
  • Scripting or programming skills (Python, MATLAB) for automation and analysis
  • Experience with compliance and interoperability testing

Key Skills

  • High-speed digital and mixed-signal design
  • Signal and power integrity analysis
  • Hardware debugging and problem-solving
